Rules and Eligibility

Battle Format

  • 3v3 intercollegiate crew battles

  • Participants must be enrolled students (undergraduate or graduate). Alumni are eligible within first year of graduating (Winter 2023 graduates are eligible for all of 2024-25 season)

  • All members of the crew must represent the same university

Are there still invites?

  • For the 2024-25 season, there will be no direct qualifiers or qualifier series for Finals. Instead we expect everyone to represent at the Finals. Prelims will be held to determine the Finals bracket.

  • 4 invites will be given this year to the college from each region (East Coast, West Coast, Midwest, South) that represents the hardest in their local scene.

  • In December 2024, your club will submit a resume of fall semester achievements by your members to be reviewed for a potential invite.

  • Any competition will be considered. Intercollegiate competitions such as Battle for Boston will be used as important data points but are not required to be considered. All that matters is you build your clubs “rep” within your scene.

  • For achievements at a given jam to be considered, your crew must be made up of only individuals from your own school.

  • Strength of competition will be strongly considered. e.g. Top 8 at a regional jam is much more significant than top 8 in an intercollegiate bracket.

  • Likewise, strength of performance in battle will be considered. Losing a memorable battle still counts for a lot!

  • Individual club member achievements in 1v1s will be considered, but more weight will be put towards crew battle accomplishments.
